"Go to 'your' high place and speak with me."

Recently I was preparing for an appointment with a client and received this message to give to the person I would be working with. This is such an intense, and meaningful, message that I wanted to share it with you. As I was receiving the message I questioned what that high place would look like so I could present this with clarity. "What kind of high place am I to mention to this person?" Gently, I was directed to pay attention to the wording difference had it been said to go to 'a' high place vs. 'your' high place. You see, sometimes I need to learn a little bit during the process of my working with you.  I always want to get clarification because it can make such a difference. The message became very clear to me...

'A' high place might be to find a mountain top, or any elevated place that would be possible considering the location of the person.  That is not what this is about, and it has become one of my most favorite sayings to post in a good while.  This is really profound, and I learned something from the message.

"Go to 'your' high place and speak with me means to become meditative, or prayerful, and find that quiet place where you have risen above your day-to-day challenges and the noise of your life, and events of the day.  That place might also come just as you are falling asleep when you have let go of everything in order to rest your soul. In those special moments, you have found 'your' high place.  It is in that place that the God of your understanding wants you to speak with him.  When I have personally found that place for myself, my conversation is as if I am speaking with a friend and saying everything, or anything, that is within my heart. When I am directed to do this and follow through, I find that extraordinary things will often happen. We should always remember to be in gratitude when this is taking place. I hope you will consider this approach in your communication, and be sure to let me know how it works for you... JudyKGoodman@aol.com

One more point... I hope it has not been lost on anyone that the message was 'speak with me' and not 'to me.' I especially find comfort in that because it invites us to speak from a different place than some of us usually go. To me, it is an invitation to have a conversation with the God of your understanding. It was not lost on me!
